第二屆香港華德福幼兒教師培訓
Hong Kong Waldorf Early Childhood Teachers Training Programme
Introduction
Waldorf early childhood education that appears to be growing in influence in Asia and China is built on a clear, coherent vision of how to improve human society by helping young children with the time they need to realize their full potential as intelligent, creative, whole persons. This three year part-time training course in Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood Education is now being offered by the Waldorf Early Childhood Training and Mentoring Programme in China (WECC) which was supported by: -
(1) the International Association for Steiner/Waldorf Early Childhood Education (IASWECE);
(2) the Friends of Rudolf Steiner Art of Education (Freunde Waldorf); and
(3) the Pedagogical Section of the Goetheanum.
WECC's aims are to provide a coordinated training and mentoring programme to assure an adequate standard of Waldorf education in all Waldorf kindergartens in China, and to help the ongoing working among Chinese colleagues to create and maintain a healthy and independent Waldorf Early Childhood Education movement in China in the future. Apart from Hong Kong, parallel training programmes are being organised in Chengdu, Beijing, Xian, Guangzhou and, in the near future, East China region (Shanghai area).
What makes Waldorf early childhood education “Waldorf”?
Rudolf Steiner, founder of Waldorf education, spoke on a number of occasions about the experiences that are essential for the healthy development of the young child. These include:
• love and warmth
• an environment that nourishes the senses
• creative and artistic experiences
• meaningful adult activity to be imitated
• free, imaginative play
• protection of the forces of childhood
• gratitude, reverence, and wonder
• joy, humor, and happiness
• adult caregivers pursuing a path of inner development
The above are those qualities we aim to nurture in our training programme.
